What is the one idea worth remembering? Great church branding can sometimes come from the simplest of ideas rather than trying to cram everything to fit inside the custom logo design. When Pathway Church in East Texas reached out, they had an idea for a strong word mark logo design. It was the perfect concept to anchor their entire brand universe moving forward.
“ I expected it to be amazing and it was!”
The church itself is in the middle of a massive new church building campaign that has their future property in an awesome wooded area. Their project had started, paused, and was eventually picked back up in 2024. For a church that is growing and looking toward the future, their new home is going to be a meaningful marker. It’s truly been a joy to be apart of their logo rebrand!
Pathway had plenty of meaningful ideas to choose from like a compass, pines surrounding their new church location, and a path itself. They also has incredible values and a mission centered around growth. We started playing around with the word mark and wanted to keep things very East Texas.
The church brand direction pulled from the world of Western workwear, rustic outdoor brands, vintage packaging, and a “salt of the earth” vibe that makes sense in the south.
The mark is custom lettered with a nod to vintage type, old-school packaging, and industrial design. The lettering leans forward and upward, giving the mark a sense of energy and future-facing momentum. A subtle compass arrow is tucked into the design as a nod to Pathway’s history, and that arrow becomes a small motif that can be carried throughout the broader brand.
This church logo design is distinctive and a brand identity designed to grow with a church looking toward its future. We were thrilled to add their kids ministry logo design to their church brand family. This community brand is a great concept for churches and ministries to adopt because it allows each ministry group to reach its target audience more effectively.
Whether you’re starting a new church, rebranding an existing one, or stepping into a new season, we’d love to create thoughtful church branding identities built around your unique story. Let’s make something meaningful.
