Student Ministry Logo Design: Coastal Students

Project Client: Coastal Church || @coastalchurchsc

Project Details: Student Ministry Branding

Lead Designer: Ryan Scully

A great student ministry logo creates a brand students are proud to wear, leaders are excited to share, and parents instantly recognize. The best student ministry branding feels connected to the main church logo while giving students a unique identity of their own.

Coastal Church wanted something that would fit into their already pre-existing main church brand family. This youth group serves surfers, homeschoolers, introverts and extroverts who all need a place to belong. Their previous logo identity reflected some early 2000s artwork that needed updating.

Palm tree imagery was a guiding principle because it reinforced their Psalm 1 concepts of wanting these students to be rooted in God. Simple geometry, fewer details and classic beach vibes created consistency across their main church brand.

It’s elevated, clean-cut, and feels proper. This could easily be a Main Church brand kit. That palm tree/cross icon will probably get a lot of playing time, and for good reason!
