Dream Week is one of those projects that’s equal parts creative challenge and pure joy to work on. This annual event from Elevation Church builds on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., turning his vision into tangible action in the communities surrounding Elevation’s campuses. Across multiple cities, Dream Week mobilizes volunteers and resources to support local nonprofits in areas like human dignity, education, and meeting essential needs for under-resourced neighbors.
With so many moving parts—dozens of campuses, countless initiatives, and partnerships with a wide range of organizations—the brand for Dream Week had to be as flexible as the event itself. The design needed to work for everything from social graphics and T-shirts to on-site signage and video motion, while still feeling cohesive and unmistakably “Dream Week.”
The visual system centered on a bold “DW” mark, serving as the primary focal point for the event. Large letterforms create an instant visual anchor while doubling as a frame—allowing designers to crop photos directly into the letters for a personal, story-driven touch. The color palette was built to mix and match in endless combinations, giving each campus or initiative room to bring its own flavor while still staying connected to the core look.
We wanted the identity to feel bright, hopeful, and celebratory—something that could carry the weight of a cause-driven mission while sparking excitement and engagement. This balance of purpose and energy is what makes the system adaptable for every audience, from long-time church members to first-time volunteers.
Dream Week’s brand is now a platform, not just a logo—one that can flex across years, initiatives, and creative teams without losing its voice. That’s the kind of system we love to build: a foundation strong enough to last, but open enough to evolve.
